This Mini Beasts life cycle kit includes one of each: Mini Beast Life Cycle of the Silkworm (KNB0003), Mini Beast Life Cycle of the Honey Bee (KNB0004), Mini Beast Life Cycle of the Frog (KNB2611), Mini Beast Life Cycle of the Butterfly (KNB2711) and the new Life Cycle of the Peanut (KNB2215). Peanut: Studying life cycles of plants provides children with numerous learning opportunities to question and describe changes that occur as living things grow. Includes teacher’s guide with links to ACARA. Set of 6 resin blocks (4x 3 x 4.5cm and 2x 4 x 7.2cm). Silkworm: This MIni Beast set is a great new addition to the range. This set includes 5 stages of the life cycle of a Silkworm and displays in great detail every step, from the eggs till the production of silk. The five blocks include the eggs, the silkworm, the cocoon, the moth and threads of silk. Students have never been able to study this life cycle in such detail and from each angle. Each block measures 7 x 4 x 2cm. Honey Bee: This set of Mini Beasts shows the development of the Honey Bee in five stages. Not only can students find out how bees develop from eggs to either a drone, queen or worker, they also will examine how honey is made. This set includes 5 resin blocks – one block displays the eggs, larva and pupa, one block shows the foundation and honeycomb, the Drone, Worker and Queen are shown in the third block, a Worker bee in action on a flower, together with Pollen are encased in the fourth block and the final block shows Beeswax, real honey and pollen. Each block measures 7 x 4 x 2cm. Frog: This set of Mini Beasts shows the development of a frog in great detail. It includes 6 resin blocks each with a different stage of the development. It allows students to investigate the world of these little creatures and get up close with frogs, something they usually wouldn’t see from such a small distance. Included in this set are: Egg specimen, a Tadpole of 0-6 weeks, a Tadpole of 6-9 weeks, a Tadpole of 9-12 weeks, a Froglet and an Adult Frog. Each block measures 32 x 60 x 22 mm. Butterfly: This set of Mini Beasts shows the development of a butterfly in great detail. It includes 4 resin blocks each with a different stage of the development. It allows students to investigate the world of these little creatures and get up close with butterflies and caterpillars, something they usually wouldn’t see from such a small distance. Included in this set are: Egg specimen, Caterpillar, Chrysalis, and Butterfly. The largest block measures 73 x 73 x 15 mm.
