An authentically designed traditional Aboriginal family role play set. This beautiful playset features a woven hut, local native animals, water, fire and a traditionally dressed Aboriginal family. All of this is supplied in a fabric bag. This beautiful set is made under Fair Trade conditions. The hut measures 13cm long x 8cm high, the people measures 7.5cm high, the kangaroo measures 10cm, the platypus measures 9cm, the snake measures 11cm and the goanna measures 9cm. This Aboriginal family set is designed by Aboriginal artist Sherren Gross. The describes the set “The name I have chosen for our family display is called muyan-bara. In our native Jandai dialect this means skin-people. Family being of the same skin group or clan group. Often extended family members lived in same dwellings or multiple dwellings in the same area. Construction may have depended on resources that were available and climatic factors in areas at particular times as to what kind of dwelling suited.
