TIE DYE INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Before use we recommend you wear rubber gloves to protect your hands from the dye.
Step 2: Spray or mildly wet your fabric with water to allow the dye to spread and blend with other colours.
Step 3: Wrap, roll or tie the fabric to your desired method using string, knots, or rubber bands to keep in place.
Step 4: Apply dye by pouring straight from the bottle or pour dye into small tubs and dip the fabric into the tub.
Step 5: After dye is applied place fabric in a sealed plastic bag or alternative plastic wrap and let it sit for a few hours in a cool, damp place. We suggest placing the sealed bag in the fridge for a few hours. This enables the dye to spread, set and reach full potential colour.
Step 6: Remove the string, rubber bands or untie and allow the fabric to dry completely on a clothesline. Once dried place in a dryer for 5-10 minutes to heat set and allow the colours to fully bind.
Step 7: When washing it is recommended that it be washed 3-4 times separately before washing with other laundry items.
Note: canvas bag sold separately.
Proudly Australian made, these water based colours are perfect for Tie Dye on fabrics.
