This Indigenous food play set 3 x crayfish measuring 15cm in length, 3 x honey ants measuring 7cm in lengths, 2 x Coolamons measuring 12cm, 1 x Bush Banana measuring 15cm, 1 x Finger Lime measuring 11cm, 1 x Quandong measuring 7cm, 3 x witchetty grubs and a Native Tamarind measuring 7cm. It also includes 4 x hand woven dilly bags each measuring 13cm wide x 13cm in length. Some teaching notes are also included with the play food. As these items are all hand made under Fair Trade conditions, the exact size and shape may vary. This beautiful role play set is suitable for children from the age of 3 years.
This Fair Trade organisation was founded in Kolkata, West Bengal, India in 2003. Today over 150 local families are involved. The talented artisans hand make a diverse range of products, specialising in educational resources. This organisation provides the local workers with a sustainable income, and all the ethics of fair trade are maintained. This organisation also provides and emergency fund for the workers in time of need such as a medical emergency for the artisan or family member, funds are readily available so they can seek immediate assistance. They have also built a school in Asansol, west of Kolkata.
