The Wushka Readathon is back for Term 3 (28 July - 29 August), giving you a simple and fun way to promote reading, spark student motivation and build lasting literacy habits.
Whether you use Wushka for literacy rotations, independent reading, intervention or home reading practice, the Readathon encourages students to read topics they are interested in while working together toward a shared classroom goal.
With a little healthy competition, a library full of books students love and a big prize up for grabs, it’s the perfect way to energise your literacy block this term.
You don’t need to be an existing Wushka user to take part - and if you're new, you’ll get Term 3 free to explore everything the platform offers.
How does it work?
1. Register
Sign up using the form below. For new schools, the Wushka team will be in touch to set up your access, so your students can start reading right away. Existing Wushka schools will be immediately signed up to the Readathon and ready to read!
2. Competition dates
The Term 3 Readathon runs from Monday 28th July to Friday 29th August.
3. Fair and fun judging
To keep it fair for classes of all sizes, winners will be determined by the average number of books read per student. Most number of books read per student wins!
