Important notice: The impact of rising fuel costs
Continued instability in the Middle East has resulted in increased fuel and freight costs across the transport network. As a result, our freight carriers have now reintroduced higher fuel levies. Accordingly, our temporary fuel surcharge will be reinstated at 0.8% on all orders when they are placed from Monday 3 August 2026.
At the same time, we remain focused on helping you manage costs wherever we can. Through initiatives like our Everyday Heroes Price Drop campaign, we are continuing to reduce prices on essential resources to support schools and early learning centres.
As always, we will continue to review and adjust the surcharge in line with market conditions.
We remain committed to delivering the same level of service and value you expect from us, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
FAQs: Fuel Price Changes & Freight Costs
Q: Have your freight charges increased?
A: Due to the ongoing global impact on fuel prices, we have introduced a temporary fuel surcharge of 0.8% on all orders. This surcharge is calculated as a percentage of your order value and helps offset the increased cost of shipping.
Q: How is the charge applied?
A: The surcharge is applied as a percentage of your total order cost.
Q: How long will the surcharge apply?
A: While we’re unable to confirm an exact timeframe, we are closely monitoring fuel prices and will remove the surcharge as soon as conditions stabilise.
Q: I’ve heard fuel prices are being reduced. Why aren’t freight costs going down?
A: While there has been a reduction in fuel excise (tax), the underlying fuel price has risen and substantially eroded the benefit of the reduction in the fuel excise. That’s why none of us are seeing a decrease in freight costs at this point.
Q: Aren’t freight companies getting other big savings from fuel tax cuts?
A: Not to the same extent as the general public. As advised by our freight providers, freight companies receive a much smaller benefit, around 5.7 cents per litre, compared to 26.3 cents per litre for consumers. This reflects the differences in how taxation works for businesses versus the general public.
Q: Have these savings already been passed into pricing?
A: Yes. These savings are reflected in the current rates charged by freight providers.
Q: Could freight costs go down in the future?
A: Possibly and we hope so. There are some additional government decisions being considered that could provide further relief. We will pass through any further reductions should they arise.
Q: What will happen if costs do decrease?
A: We’re monitoring the situation closely and will pass on any meaningful cost savings if they come through.
What does it mean when a product is a 'Special Order Item'?
Items marked 'Special Order' may be delivered direct from the manufacturer or supplier. Lead times may vary based on factors such as supplier, location, or customisation required.
How can I access free freight?
Currently you can get free freight on your entire order when you spend $199 or more (excl. GST) on products from our health & hygiene (janitorial) range. We will continue to provide regular offers and promotions to help with your budget throughout the year.

My school is in a rural area? How am I affected by freight costs?
