Base Construction Set
No matter how you wish to work with LEGO MINDSTORMS Education
NXT, the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education Base Set is where you start.
The Base Set enables groups of 2-3 students to build and program
real-life robotic solutions. It includes: a programmable NXT
Brick, 3 interactive servo motors, a range of sensors including
ultrasonic and sound, a rechargeable battery, connecting and
converter cables, and LEGO TECHNIC bricks. The set also includes
building instructions and is delivered in a sturdy storage system.
Additional NXT bricks, sensors, motors, cables, and brick sets
can be purchased separately. |

LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT Software
The LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT software is a powerful, easy-to-use
software designed for teachers or adults working with groups
of children. The software, powered by LabVIEW™, is icon
based and incorporates a Robot Educator step-by-step guide to
programming, which ranges from beginner to advanced levels.
The software is also capable of programming the NXT brick to
work with former MINDSTORMS sensors and motors, with the help
of converter cables. The software pack includes a digital user
guide. |

Curriculum Activity Materials
LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT offers robotics curriculum materials in
a digital format for teachers or after-school club staff working
with groups of children. Developed by Carnegie Mellon University’s
Robotics Academy, the activities offer a step-by-step guide
to robotics engineering using the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education
NXT hardware and programming software. |
